Abstract: Inspite of the claims by thousands of its practitioners regarding the beneficial physical, mental and spiritual effects of Art of Living yoga program and a few studies to support its therapeutic effect on many diseases like asthma, headache, diabetes and hypertension, not much empirical work has been undertaken to ascertain the effects of practice of this program, particularly with respect to psychological effects. The present study was an attempt to explore the effects of Art of Living yoga program, which include the basic method of breathing, asanas and Sudarshana Kriya, on the subjective well—being of the participants. A sample of 30 participants in Art of Living program was tested using a one-group before - after design. The results showed significant differences in the results obtained between the two testing sessions on seven out of the thirteen dimensions of subjective well—being. The obtained results do provide evidence regarding the beneficial effects of the practice of Art of Living on subjective well being of the practitioners.
