| Abstract: | The effects of yoga practice on the spatial and temporal measures of visual perception were studied in two groups of Ss, aged 19-65 yrs. One group received yoga training (YG) for a month and another group (control) did not receive yoga (CR). Spatial measures of visual perception such as depth perception, optical illusion, visuospatial judgment, and a temporal measure, viz. critical flicker fusion frequency (CFF), along with the visual reaction time (VRT) were evaluated at the beginning and end of a month in both groups. There was a significant improvement in the depth perception, CFF, optical illusion, and VRT in the YG group while the CR group did not show any change. There was no change in visuospatial judgment in either group. It is concluded that both spatial and temporal measures of visual perception improve following yoga practice.
