| Abstract: | (from the chapter) Tapas acupressure technique (TAT)-super(sm ) is an easy-to-learn, easy-to-do process based on traditional Chinese medicine and yoga. By placing the hands on critical acupressure energy points and focusing on a trauma in four stages (the trauma itself, the opposite condition of the trauma, the origins of the trauma, and places where the trauma has been stored), TAT allows a person's own energy to heal acute and chronic cases of stress and trauma, negative beliefs, and allergic reactions gently and naturally without revealing anything. As old troubles dissolve, the person is left in a state of peace. This chapter discusses operating assumptions and theory, trauma and healing, and the TAT pose and steps, the upward flow of excessive heat during the process. TAT is easily learned and incorporated into practice. It can also be used by clients to supplement the work that is done in session and to create a team approach to healing. |
