Abstract: Investigated whether the practice of hatha yoga enhances the awareness of the normal, nonemotive bodily processes. A yoga-trained group of 17 Ss (aged 20–36 yrs) and a control group of 19 Ss were administered the Body Awareness Questionnaire. Yoga-trained Ss had received 3 mo of training before completing the questionnaire. Analysis showed that the yoga-trained group had a significantly better body awareness than the control group.
