| Abstract: | Stress-reducing Hatha Yoga techniques that have been demonstrated to managers in a British steel company include breathing and meditative exercises to calm or energize, methods of relaxation to release destructive tensions, and postures that use creative muscle tension to promote physiological and psychological health. Resilience and flexibility are viewed as necessary for managers to utilize the value of creative pressure and tension needed at work while maintaining tolerable stress levels. Topics discussed include the physiology of stress, therapeutic mechanisms, introducing yoga to the stress management course, and managers' reactions to the course.
