| Abstract: | The integral yoga of Sri Aurobindo focuses on the complex nature of man and seeks to transform his present mentality to a vaster and more powerful consciousness. Yoga and yogic experiences contradict Western methods of studying and exploring consciousness. Evidences of psychosomatics, sensory-dreams, hypnotic phenomena which produce bodily changes, psychoneurasthania, all unquestionably point to the existence of physical consciousness.
