| Abstract: | Provides information about the concepts of community mental health in ancient India by briefly reviewing a few ancient Hindu texts--Vedic, Dharmashastric, Ayurvedic, and Yogic. The application of these ancient concepts in modern time is suggested since these thoughts still remain the guiding sources for rural India's social, religious, and cultural behaviors.
