| Abstract: | Hypothesized that behavioral rigidity would be positively related to obsessive-compulsiveness and authoritarianism. 66 junior postgraduate students completed the Test of Behavioral Rigidity, the PT scale (Psychasthenia) of the MMPI, California F Scale, and Raven Standard Progressive Matrices. Results support the hypothesis. The product-moment correlations of composite and motor-cognitive rigidity were significantly related to obsessive-compulsiveness. A significant relationship was also found between authoritarianism and behavioral rigidity. (20 ref) (PsycINFO Database Record (c) 2002 APA, all rights reserved) |
