| Abstract: | Describes the Hindu's basic understanding of the concepts of the body, external world, self, and interpersonal relationships from the perspective of how these concepts are viewed in the US. It is suggested that Americans can learn from Indian practices such as karma yoga to deal with conflicts and frustrations of this result-oriented society. Indians can learn from Americans lessons such as social responsibility, assertiveness, and honesty. (PsycINFO Database Record (c) 2002 APA, all rights reserved) |
