Abstract: Presents an overview of Patanjala yoga, the techniques of which are based on principles of learning similar to behavior therapy. Like behavior therapy, Patanjala yoga is concerned with mind-body self-regulation and is based on the psychophysiological processes forming the basis of psychosomatic disorders and health. Research has shown that a combination of yogic techniques and EEG biofeedback can produce promising outcomes. (22 ref) (PsycINFO Database Record (c) 2002 APA, all rights reserved)
